For details regarding ACUNSA, the Australian Catholic University National Student Association, please contact the Student Association on campus.

Student Services
The Dean of Students has responsibility for Student Services. The Dean liaises with student associations. On each campus there are services as listed below that help students in the achievement of their academic and personal goals.

Academic Study Skills
The Academic Skills Unit assists undergraduate and postgraduate students to develop independent learning strategies. Assistance is offered with transition to tertiary study, managing time, reading and note taking, researching, composing and presenting assignments. Campus Ministry
Through Campus Ministry, there is a focus on the enrichment of the faith community on campus, where members of the University community can freely gather to share faith, respecting their own and other religious traditions. There are regular celebrations of Mass and times of prayer, retreats and celebrations of special occasions. Campus Ministry offers individual pastoral support and spiritual mentoring to students and staff. Campus Ministry enters into engagement with the University community to promote social justice through debate, commitment to action and community engagement activities. Opportunities are provided for leadership development.

Counselling

Counselling services (free, voluntary, and confidential) are available to assist students with psychological, personal and relationship issues and provide referral and advocacy where appropriate. Counselling is available by appointment.

Disability and Medical Conditions

The University seeks to provide appropriate services for students with disabilities. The University can do this providing needs are made known in advance. Students who may require assistance during their studies because of a disability or medical condition are encouraged to make an early approach to a Disability Adviser or the relevant Course Co-ordinator; they are also requested to indicate such needs at enrolment. Students with temporary disabilities arising from accidents or illness experienced during the year should make known their needs if services are required.

Those who have a disability or a chronic medical condition and who are considering applying to the University for the first time should contact the Disability Adviser at any time in the year before enrolment, to discuss disability related services.
