This is a combined degree offered through the School of Psychology within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. It comprises postgraduate professional training within Clinical or Child and Family Psychology as well as a research Doctor of Philosophy.

Mode of Offering
The course will be offered on campus with lectures, tutorials and seminars. Practicums are carried out at the campus-based clinic and at external agencies.

Entry requirements:

  • For direct entry, a First Class Honours degree in psychology,
  • Interview.
  • Two referees' reports, one professional/personal and one academic.
  • For indirect entry, applicants with a Second Class Division A Honours or equivalent and whose performance in the Master of Psychology is at an appropriate level will be eligible to apply for a place in the combined degree following completion of the first year of the Master of Psychology.

Requirements for Completion of Award

Completion of 320cp from:

  • 5 core units, 10 cp each, (50cp);
  • 3 specialisation units, 10 cp each (30 cp)
  • 4 practicum units, 10 cp each (40 cp);
  • Thesis (200cp).
