LOTE
Curriculum and Teaching 1
This unit is designed to promote close examination of language acquisition
research findings, of first and second-language learning theories, and
of the principles of optimal classroom learning and teaching. Students
will become familiar with current national, state and system policies
regarding LOTE education, and will study theories, past and present, of
language acquisition and LOTE teaching methodology appropriate to the
different stages of schooling and for the macro language skills. Students
will explore the notions of associations, mind mapping, topic, language
functions.
