Soils and Water

Prerequisites Nil

Teaching Organisation 4 contact hours per week for 12 weeks or equivalent of lectures, seminars, laboratory sessions, workshops and fieldwork.

This unit is designed to give students an understanding of the hydrologic and geomorphic processes associated with the development of soils, experience in the identification of soil characteristics, limitations and constraints, and the implications for management. Fieldwork uses techniques of land evaluation to determine suitability for specific user requirements.
