This unit will examine the relevance and application of contemporary models, theories and practices of leadership in nursing and health care from social, political, and economic viewpoints. The concepts of change and pro-active leadership strategies and skills will be considered in relation to the dynamic nature of health care services and diversifying public need for appropriate and acceptable services. Ways to shape, support and, change health care structures and services where indicated will be critically examined. |
