10cp Nursing 6 The focus of this unit is nursing. It provides students with the opportunity to synthesise theory and experience of previous and concurrent units, to reflect thoughtfully on their practice and to create new learning situations from which they may develop further, both personally and professionally. In this unit there will be an opportunity to explore in-depth a nursing specialty selected by the learner. The elective nursing specialties may include: emergency/high dependency, paediatric, maternity, palliative care, perioperative, psychiatric nursing, mental health, aged care and community.
