Traditional Chinese Medicine

This unit will focus on the principles of traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the roles of nurses in TCM. The unit will provide the opportunity for students to understand the Chinese health care culture and apply the concept of Chinese Medicine in nursing. Students will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills to provide a therapeutic environment for the client to be restored to harmony.

Emphasis is placed on the integration of theories and principles of nursing practice in related concepts of TCM. Students will have the opportunity to reflect on the influence of TCM on functional roles of practitioners
