This unit will provide opportunity and encouragement for the exploration of issues relevant to women and their health. The discussion will be informed by reference to gender issues, feminist thought and consideration of women’s ways of knowing. Female cognitivisim as it relates to illness and traditional health care and aspects of women'’ health through the life cycle will be explored. Processes used in the delivery of nursing care in relation to promoting, maintaining and restoring women'’ health will also be studied. |
