Nursing 1

This unit will act as a foundation for subsequent nursing studies by introducing student to four elements of nursing: health, nursing, the environment and the person. Frameworks, such as activities of daily living, culture, and Gordon’s functional health patterns, will facilitate basis understanding of these phenomena. Theories and processes of decision making, communication and relationships, reflection and discourse will be used to explore health, health care and nursing practice within a social and professional environment.
