Schooling Studies 1: The Young Adolescent This
unit provides students with the opportunity to build on their knowledge
about the growth, development and learning of young adolescents in the
middle years of schooling (ages 11-15 years). Young adolescence is a critical
time development of the human person, a time when long-term patterns of
thought and behaviour may become established. It can be a period of extreme
physical and emotional upheaval during which engagement in schooling decreases.
Cultural influences have a strong impact as the young person strives for
a sense of identity, for independence and to establish meaningful relationships
with others. Back to Bachelor Of Teaching (Primary) - Bachelor Of Education (Primary) |
