Geography Curriculum and Teaching 2

This unit is designed to further develop student understanding of the scope, techniques and methods used in teaching Geography at the senior secondary level. Students will gain an understanding of the complex nature of a changing world and how to incorporate these geographical aspects in the classroom. Skills will be developed to enable students to demonstrate an understanding of geographical inquiry methodologies applicable to the classroom. Using the local area as a research resource and fieldwork are an integral part of this course, developing a student's ability to analyse the local environment, both biophysical and cultural, in terms of teaching Geography.
