Childhood Studies 1 This
unit introduces the student to early childhood education. Within this
unit, students explore the contemporary face of early childhood education
against its historical traditions, which date back to the sixteenth century.
A range of theories and models for practice that reflect a variety of
educational and social issues are examined to enable students to gain
a greater understanding of current contexts of early childhood education
