Integrated Creative Arts Education 1

The creative arts have their own languages, techniques and conventions through which to communicate meanings, ideas and feelings. This unit examines the ways in which the creative arts use codes and symbolic structures as a means of communication and it involves students in experiences in reading and using these codes. This unit also establishes a platform for considering topical and significant arts issues in creative arts education.
