Human Resource Development


Prerequisites MGMT101 Fundamentals of Management.
Teaching Organisation 3 hours per week for 12 weeks or equivalent.

This unit is designed to prepare the student for both the management and delivery of human resource development programs in organisations. The course builds students' understanding of the role of human resource development within work organisations, the learning process, and the issues and dilemmas involved in implementing training and development. These issues are explored through an examination of the practical steps of training and development: needs identification, the design, delivery and evaluation of training, and other key areas of human resource development (including employee orientation, career planning, and management development).
