Knowledge Management

Teaching Organisation 3 hours per week for 12 weeks or equivalent.

The aim of this unit is to provide an understanding of the new and emerging field of knowledge management. It employs a broad spectrum of techniques and instruments to improve the performance of knowledge operations and the learning capabilities of a system. Knowledge management focuses on knowledge as a crucial production factor and consists of activities that aim at optimal use and development of knowledge. Knowledge management determines which knowledge, where, in which form and at which point of time, should be available within an organisation.
