Small Business Management

Prerequisites Nil

Teaching Organisation 3 hours per week for 12 weeks or equivalent.

This unit takes as its theme the holistic appreciation of the multi-faceted nature of small business. The aim is to provide a substantial overview of the multi-tasking requirements of any small business owner, in the context of a very competitive environment. Traditional and non-traditional business environments are discussed in examining the nature of entrepreneurship, enterprise formation including planning, finance, legal, people, location, resource, and marketing issues.
