The aims of the course are to prepare graduates who are educationally prepared for management or advanced clinical practice in nursing and health care. Go to the postgraduate section then click on the Apply-by-Web under Login Access and follow the instructions provided. Application Forms (Form PG) and instructions are also available from the Student Centre or UAC. Applications through UAC do not require academic records as they are available electronically. Queensland and Victoria Application should be made on the Direct Entry Application Form available on the ACU National website www.acu.edu.au/forms.cfm or from the Student Centre. Direct Entry Application Forms, together with any supporting documentation, should be submitted to the ACU National Admissions Section. ACUweb Applicants for courses offered in the online study mode must apply and enrol online through ACUweb at www.acuweb.com.au. Students may choose to study in mixed mode, ie on-campus and online. A student who is currently enrolled in a course on-campus and who elects to study some online units should not reapply through ACUweb for admission to the same course. However, students must apply through ACUweb to enrol in, and to withdraw from, their online units of study. To qualify for entry to the course applicants must have completed a Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent qualification, and be eligible for registration as a nurse in the country of initial qualification. Special Admission Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may seek approval for entry to the course through the Faculty Board. Requirements for Completion of Award Completion of 80 credit points of academic study. Course Structure Unit Offerings Unit Offerings will vary subject to student demand and lecturer availability. Elective units will vary between campuses and from year to year. The course comprises 4 core units of study (40cp), 2 units in major strands (20cp), and 2 elective units (20cp).
