This course is designed as a further professional development program for teachers, educators, caregivers and artists. It further develops knowledge and skills in music education to enhance the music culture in schools, parishes, the music and arts industry and in the wider community. The innovations of the Orff approach to music education allow the participants to further their careers in a creative and artistic way and at the same time enable the further development of professionalism in music education.
In addition to the units which constitute the Graduate Certificate in Orff Music Education, the Graduate Diploma in Education (Orff Music Education) includes opportunities for participants to deepen their understanding of Orff Music education through a literature search, background reading and a research project investigating existing music programs in schools, community settings, parishes or the music industry.
