This is a combined degree offered through the School of Psychology within the Faculty of Arts & Sciences. It comprises postgraduate professional training within Clinical or Child and Family Psychology as well as a research Doctor of Philosophy.
Mode of Offering
The course will be offered on campus with lectures, seminars, practica and casework carried out at the campus-based clinic and at external agencies.

Applicants for the combined PhD-MPsych must have an appropriate undergraduate degree with honours in psychology, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognised university at a level acceptable to Australian Catholic University.
Australian and New Zealand Citizens and Permanent Residents undertaking the course are liable for the Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS), the Student Services Fee (SSF), the Student Representative Council Fee (SRC) and the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
International students undertaking the course pay full international tuition fees.
Unit offerings will vary subject to student demand and lecturer availability.
Elective units will vary between campuses and from year to year.
Requirements for Completion of Award
Completion of 320cp from:
· eight coursework units (including a unit in research methodology) (10cp each);
· four practicum and casework units (10cp each);
· Thesis (200cp).
There will be one stream in the area of Child and Family Psychology, and another in Clinical Psychology.
